*VACANCY ANNOUNCEMENT* *HEAD CAMP COUNSELOR *– *TONS-O-FUN SUMMER CAMP* *Summer Camp Seasonal Positions – Enfield Recreation* The Town of Enfield, Recreation Department is currently accepting applications for the following position: *Tons-O-Fun Summer Camp:* * Open position: Head Camp Counselor * Program dates: Monday – Friday, June 24, 2023 – August 9, 2024 _(no 7/4/2024)_ * Hours of work: 35-40 per week (hours of operation are Monday - Friday, 7:15 a.

) * Training: All employees are required to complete mandatory training before the season begins.
Training will be held in June, dates TBD.
* Rates of pay: $17.
25 - $18.
25 hour, dependent on experience.
*Head Camp Counselor: *Responsible for assisting the Camp Director in the administration of a comprehensive full day summer camp.
Works under the general direction of the Camp Director and/or the Asst.
Recreation Manager.
Responsible for assisting the Camp Director in planning camp activities; assisting in the daily operation of the camp program; supervising children and staff when necessary; performing inspections of camp facilities; chaperoning weekly trips; completing and/or reviewing daily paperwork; reviewing present programs and making recommendations for future programs; other duties as assigned.
Minimum age requirement: 18 years old.
High school degree or equivalent.
Must have experience working with children.
Must successfully complete Town of Enfield sponsored First Aid, CPR, Epi-Pen and Medication Administration certification programs.
Experience working with children with special needs desired.
