Pioneer Valley Montessori School is seeking individuals to work with students ages 3-5 or 5-12 in our after-school program.
The hours are Monday-Friday 2:45-5:00, to begin February 12 or sooner, 2023.
Additional hours may be available.
We operate on a school year calendar and have the summers, holidays and school vacation weeks off.
This individual will supervise group play and work with individual children or small groups of children to introduce games or crafts.
They will establish routines around transition times and provide behavioral guidance to children in a manner that is firm but respectful.
*Responsibilities:*
* *Supervise After School Activities:* Create and implement engaging after-school activities that foster creativity, curiosity, and collaboration among students.
* *Maintain a Safe Environment:* Ensure the safety and well-being of students during after-school hours, implementing appropriate safety protocols.
* *Promote Independence:* Encourage independence and self-directed learning in accordance with Montessori principles.
* *Communicate with Parents:* Maintain open and effective communication with parents regarding students' activities and any concerns that may arise.
* *Collaborate with School Staff:* Work collaboratively with other school staff to ensure a cohesive and supportive environment.
