*Job starting Summer 2024! *Do you love working with kids, sports, swimming, and summer fun? The Hampshire Regional YMCA's in-house Camp Prospect can make a difference in the lives of kids, and you can be a part of it! Counselors will lead campers through a day that centers around recreational activities such as swimming, arts & crafts, physical challenges and dance & movement.
*Job Duties*:
* Create a positive, energetic, and safe environment for children aged 5-14
* Guide & participate in various games, activities with campers
* Support children during transitions throughout the day
* Swim daily in the pool with campers
* Help design & implement artistic & recreational activities
* Assist in setup and breakdown of activities each day
* Collaborate with the rest of the Camp Prospect staff team using our core values of caring, honesty, respect, and responsibility
*Job Qualifications*:
* Senior counselors must be at least 18 years of age; junior counselors must be at least 16 years of age
* Must enjoy working with children and families
* Experience in childcare preferred for junior counselors and required for senior counselors
* Must have excellent interpersonal skills
