Bus Monitor

*The Center School and Transportation Options have openings for Bus Monitors, providing specialized transportation services to special education students served by our schools- a great way to get experience in the education field! * Positions are per diem, Monday through Friday, up to 25 hours per week, but can lead to full time employment as an Interventionist with our private schools and school based programs.
No weekend work! *Responsibilities:* * Safely and courteously transports students and other staff members as assigned, utilizing the transportation environment as an extension of the classroom.
Engages students in meaningful conversations and activities as appropriate.
Most runs are early morning and late afternoon.
* - Assists students in boarding and exiting the vehicle and assures safety restraints are utilized per state law.
*Requirements:* * Applicants must have a High School Diploma or GED and provide proof upon hire, as well as patience, reliability and an interest in working with students with social/emotional/behavioral issues.
* Strong verbal/written communication skills and the ability to work as a team member are required.

* *Monitor pay is minimum wage and includes Earned Sick Time accrual.
