Description:
Come join the Food and Nutrition team at Mercy Medical Center, part of Trinity Health Of New England! We are a member of the nationwide Trinity Health family, bringing compassionate care to our communities.
Position Purpose:
The Sanitation Aide performs a variety of food service duties including loading and delivering food trucks to patient floors, loading, and unloading dish machine, pot washing, trash removal, sweeping and mopping floors, cleaning food service equipment and work areas, and general cleaning duties.
What you will do:
Dispose of trash, garbage, and cardboard boxes in proper receptacles, delivering to loading dock trash storage area as required.
Clean pots and pans using manual and automatic dish machine cleaning procedures.
Unload dishes from dish machine.
Deliver meal trays to patient rooms.
Deliver and pickup food trucks from patient floor per schedules.
Pick up late trays from patient pantries.
Stock up work areas in kitchen, dish room, and cafeteria as needed.
Work on tray line serving hot beverages.
Load trays onto food trucks.
Cleans and sanitizes food trucks after each meal period.
Complete cleaning of assigned work areas including special cleaning assignments as required including cleaning of food service equipment, wall areas, and other areas as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications:
High School diploma or general equivalency diploma (GED) preferred, not required.
Fluent in written and verbal English
Pass all background & drug testing.
