The Marketing Content and Project Specialist supports Health New England’s (HNE) marketing team primarily through the management of key marketing initiatives (i.
e.
AEP) and by being responsible for content development, content management and process development.
The job is responsible for supporting and implementing the Health New England brand through creative writing execution.
The Marketing Content and Project Specialist is expected to develop, and foster internal and external relationships on behalf of HNE as well as to serve as a content liaison and ambassador, executing compelling communications while also maintaining consistency across all projects.
Essential Functions: Content Review, Creation & Consultation - 40% Assist and/or manage multiple writing projects with the ability to change writing format from instructional and educational to creative; proofreading/grammar expertise; reviewing projects simultaneously learning the process for concept through completion, developing overall timelines and work plans to organize all aspects of each project.
Work with Content and Design teams to proofread and fact-check internal and external communications with a conscious effort to build and maintain consistency and uphold the brand principles, attributes and promise.
Build collaborative relationships through involvement in project meetings and consultations, ensuring clear understanding of business needs, target audience, project scope, time constraints, and other related variables.
Make informed, smart content choices that are most conducive for the related media, format or purpose of each project- ability to repurpose content to fit into the correct marketing channel (web, social, print etc.
).
Digital Content Management – 30%.
Create and develop content for external websites and portals.
Manage content and documents found on external websites, portals and blogs.
Maintain a consistent brand experience and corporate voice across all external sites and blogs.
Track and report all metrics on websites and blogs.
Support Health New England’s overall Marketing and Digital Strategy.
Create, develop and manage digital email external communications to member, broker, employer and provider stakeholders.
Project Management - 30% Manage key recurring marketing projects – such as Medicare Annual Enrollment Period (AEP) – as well as ad hoc projects – such as coordinating the communications related to implementing a new vendor in the organization.
Develop project plans, lead project meetings, track project status, communicate status and mitigate issues with project sponsors.
Develop after action reviews and document opportunities for improvement at conclusion of each project.
Develop and refine processes within the Marketing department, working across functional teams and roles.
Oversee quality control measures for all Marketing deliverables, ensuring the highest quality and time to market.
Maintain visibility and awareness of workflow and project schedules by using the workflow management software.
Serve on internal and external committees as needed, leveraging creative talents and perspective to enhance the efforts of internal and external communications.
Responsible for the coordination and development of Standard Operating Procedures for the department as well as maintaining and archiving project files, records and documentation for future efforts.
Minimum Requirements: A Bachelor's Degree in Marketing, Communications, Business Management, English or related field with a minimum of 3 years’ experience leading marketing/communication projects preferably in the health insurance or financial services industries; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Experience with Medicare Advantage preferred.
Excellent project management skills and disciplines with a keen ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet tight deadlines.
Ability to simply and creatively communicate sometimes complex ideas and solve business problems through content creation.
Excellent interpersonal and collaborative skills with a strong ability to work with a variety of people and personalities and across all organizational levels.
Ability to assist with policy management including standard operating procedure development/documentation.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills with a strong focus in content creation- various writing styles including informational sheets, web, blog, social, writing, proofreading, and reviewing.
Experience in directing a small team of people across varied projects.
Extensive experience in project management, preferably within a marketing organization Knowledge of CSS, HTML is a plus Organizing, Priority Setting and Problem Solving skills Strong Interpersonal Skills/Relationship Building Skills organizational abilities, and time management skills are required.
Strong MS Office skills.
