*Job Announcement: Solidago Foundation/See Forward Fund (SFF) Development Consultant*
Solidago/SFF, the c3 and c4 arms, respectively, of a dynamic organization committed to transformative change, is seeking a dedicated and skilled Development Consultant to join our team.
This is a unique opportunity to collaborate closely with the Executive Director on a journey to secure $5-10M in funds for groundbreaking Strategic Initiatives across NC, GA, and AZ.
*Strategic Planning*:
· Collaborate on creating an allied giving and fundraising master plan alongside the Executive Director.
· Engage in weekly consultations with the Executive Director and Board President to meticulously strategize fundraising plans for both the ED and yourself.
*Research and Analysis:*
· Immerse yourself in understanding the details of targeted groups.
· Work with Program Consultant to understand in-depth analyses on these groups and the landscape and ecosystem of each state involved in the initiatives.
*Proposal Development:*
Identify funding gaps at the state level from the Donor Tables and help draft compelling proposals capturing the essence of the new initiatives.
*Communication and Marketing:*
· Contribute to the development of Solidago/SFF marketing materials and outreach strategies, focusing on the initiatives.
· Craft Solidago/SFF evaluations of our initiatives for wider dissemination among fellow funders to build future sources of funding for the groups beyond Solidago’s grantmaking sunset.
*Networking and Stakeholder Engagement:*
· Establish connections and follow-up with funders and intermediaries.
· Facilitate introductions between ED and relevant stakeholders that you know or meet.
· Bring new funders into the Solidago fold, emphasizing allied giving.
· Contribute to organizing Solidago-sponsored events within conferences, aligning with our giving priorities at these events.
*Support and Facilitation:*
Facilitate and support ED and field organizations in crafting funding requests.
*Qualifications:*
· Familiarity with and relationships in the funding world related to voter engagement initiatives.
· Proven track record of presenting projects and successfully securing funds from Allied Givers (directly to groups) primarily rooted in Foundations.
· Demonstrated ability to solicit and raise funds from Individual Donors.
· Strong aptitude for crafting and implementing effective fundraising strategies.
*Time Commitment:*
· 10-15 hours per week for the entirety of 2024 (Feb-Dec).
· Travel requirement for 3 – 5 events, such as W2W, FCCP, and State donor table briefings.
· Potential participation in 1-2 joint donor field trips (travel will require additional hours).
