Job Summary Under the general supervision of the Director, Dining Services, responsible for planning and implementing projects designated by the Director.
The projects will include operations management, marketing programs, production sales, customer services, training, catering, quality assurance and special events.
Assists Director in ROI analysis in all areas of Dining Services.
This is a hands-on position with 50% of time in the operations.
Essential Functions Assist the Director, Dining Services to develop and implement program to put students first, including marketing and promotion, customer services, and new concepts in the day-to-day operations.
Develop and implement a guest customer services program to provide outstanding services.
Assist the Director, Dining Services in redesigning the retail food services to maximize revenues, control costs and provide outstanding customer services.
Assist the Director, Dining Services in identifying areas that require immediate attention and recommend action.
Assist the Director, Dining Services in developing a new menu format for informing and marketing Dining Services to students.
Assist the Director, Dining Services to redesign a new website for Dining Services in coordination with the Auxiliary Services IT staff.
Work with the Dietitian and the Executive Chef in posting the nutritional menu on the web.
Assist the Catering Director and the Retail Food Services Managers to implement the FoodPro Inventory and Menu Management system at the retail level.
Assist the Director, Dining Services in conducting Food Advisory committee meeting, focus group studies and surveys.
Assist, participate and implement sales, promotional and other events that overall increase Auxiliary Services revenues to include Catering, Meal Plans, Gift from Home, etc.
Chair, Marketing Committee for Hospitality Services to seek opportunities for revenue growth and ways in which to better serve new and existing customers.
Execute and oversee ongoing “mystery shopper” program.
Supervise quality control measures including event follow-up procedures.
Report results and recommendations to senior management on a monthly basis.
Participate in year-in review annual sessions and attend managers meetings.
Prepare reports as requested.
Other Functions Perform other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills, Abilities, Education, Experience, Certifications, Licensure) Bachelor’s degree and five (5) years' progressive food/beverage service management experience in a hotel and restaurant environment.
Experience in product or service marketing and sales.
Functional knowledge of standard statistical analysis methods/software packages (SPSS and/or Statview).
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint).
ServSafe Certification must be obtained within three (3) months of employment.
Ability to learn computer menu management systems.
Preferred Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills, Abilities, Education, Experience, Certifications, Licensure) Master’s degree in Business or Hospitality industry.
Physical Demands/Working Conditions Typical office environment.
