*JOB SUMMARY*: The Director of Communications/Public Relations is responsible for managing all areas of the Sisters of St.
Joseph communications and public relations efforts in collaboration with the leadership of the Sisters of St.
Joseph and appropriate personnel in the administrative offices.
*POSITION-SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES:*
* Integrate the Charism, Mission/Vision of the Sisters of St.
Joseph into the role of the Director of Communications.
* Conceive, develop, assist with the publication of the annual newsletter, audio visual presentations and social media representing the Sisters of St.
Joseph to provide consistent messaging to various entities.
* Develop and manage content for the Congregation’s external website and internal (members only) communication including news, videos, YouTube, photos, etc.
* Develop, produce and/or publish printed materials and assist with social media materials that will communicate the mission of the Sisters of St.
Joseph.
* Develop, oversee, refine, and implement overall communications for the Congregation, Development Office, and the Office of Justice, Peace and the Integrity of Creation.

* Oversee budget for the Communications Office.
* Articulate clearly the position of the Congregation to public media.
* Support urgent communications by anticipating or responding quickly to any situation that requires immediate response.
* Establish and maintain communication with media, and other directors of communications, including but not limited to LCWR and the CSSJ Federation.
* Serve as a resource to leadership.
* Respond to external and internal requests for information.
* Photograph and video record interviews, events, meetings, etc.
* Ensures that all information on the Website is kept accurate and updated.
* Performs other duties as assigned
*Knowledge Requirements:*
* The ability to work in all social media.
* Ability to establish and reorganize priorities.
* Proficiency in Adobe Suite - Photoshop, In-Design, Premiere, Canva, and Microsoft Office programs.
* Possess a valid driver’s license and reliable transportation in order to conduct interviews, attend events, meetings, etc.

*Education:*
* BA in communications, public relations, journalism, or related field.
*Experience:*
* Demonstrated excellence with written, verbal, and non-verbal communication.
* Strong interpersonal skills.
*Other Desired Qualifications:*
* Understanding of the Catholic Faith and culture of women religious.
* Ability to sit or stand for extended periods of time.
* Ability to lift and move up to 20 lbs.
* Ability to work after business hours and weekends (events/meetings) as needed.
* Exposure to confidential information must be handled with discretion.
