EV Systems New England - Northeast Process Equipment This position is for a unique role as a Technical Sales Representative with an independent manufacturer's representative firm that covers the New England States (CT, ME, MA, NH, RI, VT) and New York State.
The firm represents manufacturers in the niche market of bulk material handling and processing equipment across a wide variety of industries including manufacturing, recycling, alternative energy, alternative materials, minerals processing, food manufacturing, and more.

Finding a successful candidate for this role is challenging - it takes the right combination of technical knowledge, listening and communicating skills, strategizing, and the ability to be self-motivated and define your own task list, with the ultimate goal being to support the successful sale of industrial equipment.
This listing is for a full-time position, though a part-time / trial basis offer may be extended to start with depending on the candidate's experience.
Work will primarily be from a home office / remote office which is required to be located within New England or Eastern New York, in a location that facilitates regular travel to customer sites in the region using your own vehicle.
Day trips within the region are regular, overnight travel is infrequent but possible.
Responsibilities * Learning the lines of equipment the firm represents.
* Establishing relationships with the firm's Principals.
* Establishing relationships with the firm's Customers.
* Identifying and acting upon sales opportunities.
* Promptly and effectively following leads.
* Prospecting for new business and exploring business development opportunities.
* Traveling to customer sites when necessary (typically within New England or New York).
* Generating requests for proposal, supporting the proposal development process.
* Presenting proposals to customers and following up on sales opportunities.
* Closing sales and reporting orders.
* Supporting the owner’s work as needed.
Qualifications * Familiarity with bulk material handling and processing equipment * Familiarity with mechanical equipment and engineering concepts * Self-motivated and responsible * Organized and efficient * Exceptional communication skills (phone, email, text, in person) * Able to communicate complex and technical concepts in a clear and easy to understand manner * Good listening skills * Has own reliable vehicle (mileage to be reimbursed) * Maintains own home office within New England / New York area Compensation * The position will be either salary or hourly, depending on the candidate and whether full or part time.
* Pay will be fixed and regular (not commissions based).
* Income growth opportunities could exist in the future.
