JOB SUMMARY Under the direction of the SVP Operations & Technology, the IT Analyst assists in the daily support and administration of bank technology.
The IT Analyst will troubleshoot low complexity hardware and software problems while working closely with technology vendors and acting as a liaison between bank staff and vendors.
Additionally, this role will assist with administrative and reporting functions relating to the bank's core relationship.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS Responds to user queries, answers questions and may resolve hardware and software problems.
Diagnoses, identifies, researches, and resolves problems.
Refers more complex problems to higher level technical staff for resolution.
Provides general in-house technical support.
Troubleshoots problems.
Administer institution's email system and Microsoft Office 365 environment, including maintaining user accounts.
Assists with personal computer hardware and software installations and maintenance as well as general network and system administration.
May assist or provide technology training to other employees and resolve less complex problems.
Provides advice and assistance to user.
Installs upgrades and responsible for testing and validation.
Defines and executes new projects and develops detailed project plans.
Identifies systems-related needs and opportunities.
Conducts information systems-related activities such as evaluating internal controls, communications, risk assessments, and SOC documentation.
Ensures that development, security, and/or systems operations efforts are in compliance with IT organizational policies, standards and procedures, and controls are incorporated into the information systems.
Development, administration, and validation of internal analytical & delivery tools (i.
e.
Teams, Sharepoint, Banker's Dashboard) and ensuring consistency across the organization.
Maintain the organizations hardware and software inventory.
Responsible for report writing for the bank (Crystal Reports) May participate in researching new technologies and making implementation recommendations.
New Valley Bank and Trust employees must follow all policies and procedures related to their position and any laws, rules or compliance regulations that apply in the accomplishment of their assigned duties, while also using good judgment and ethical standards.
Required Education and Experience A bachelor's degree in computer science, business information systems, information technology, or a related field.
At least 3 years IT administration experience in a bank environment.
Competencies Knowledge of databases, data processes, program architectures, and data security.
Skills in designing, reporting, and documenting implementations and solutions.
Knowledge of industry best practices and experience with both hardware and software systems.
Previous experience with bank core processing systems preferred.
Certification and proficiency in a SQL.
Excellent report writing and communication skills, Crystal Report writing experience preferred.
Supervisory Responsibility: The position does not have supervisory responsibilities.
Physical Demands/Work Environment Office environment.
Position requires the ability to occasionally lift office products and supplies up to 20 pounds.
This position requires regular travel between bank locations.
This position requires on-call availability during bank hours on weekends.
