*Position Overview *
The Machine Operator will run molding machines and secondary operations as required while maintaining and confirming the quality of our products.
*Position Responsibilities/Essential Functions *
* Safety is everyone’s responsibility
* Visually inspect and assemble parts to quality specifications, being aware of critical visual and dimensional defects and determine acceptability of the parts, based on customer specifications
* Ensure accurate packaging and traceability of product, including the correct labeling and accurate part count
* Communicate with supervisor/lead operator regarding any unacceptable parts, malfunctions of the production process within their workstation, or safety issues
* Utilize route sheets and work instructions to ensure parts meet both customer and internal requirements
* Remove parts from injection molding machines during gate tended operations
* Make use of auxiliary equipment to aid in the assembly process.
Examples: sonic welders, heat sealers/shrink wrappers, and granulators
* Perform routine cleaning of machines and work areas
* Account for and record production and scrap counts
* Follow all HACCP (Hazard and Critical Control Points) and GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices)
* Expected to be available for work in both the Somers or Ellington production facilities.
Job location may be shifted daily or weekly to meet production needs

* Possession of basic math skills
* Good motor skills
* Ability to lift an average of 20 cartons per day with a maximum weight of 50 pounds each
* Must be able to stand for 8-12 hours while turning, twisting, reaching, pulling, pushing, clutching, placing and lifting up to 50 lbs.
*Highly Desirable *
* ISO 9001/13485 knowledge
* Working knowledge of SmartSheet and IQMS
* Prior manufacturing experience
